Sexy in two languages

Never content with good when great is just around the corner, Marijana prodded me into creating two sites, one in Croatian and the other in the original English. Marijana then promptly went to sleep, leaving me to translate. Great times were had by all.

The long and short of this tale is that you, dear reader, will now get to enjoy our lyrical prose in international stereo. Who knows? If things go well with our Spanish lessons (read: watching soccer on Telemundo), we might even launch a section en español someday!

For the time being, though, we're both very busy with work and school and the looming spectre of holiday get-togethers. We'll make a concerted effort to document the process of cutting ourselves loose of our responsibilities, but not so concerted an effort as to actually get in the way of said duties.

Yes, we see the irony.

To read Marijana's thoughts in her native language (or if you're just curious as to what Croatian really looks like), head on over here ("hr" is the international abbreviation of "Hrvatski", which is how Croatians say "Croatian"). The site automatically diverts you to the English section if you don't specify a language in the URL. This isn't some sort of linguistic chauvinism, though. English speakers tend to get spooked the second they encounter another language on a website. Croatians are more intrepid web navigators, and are more apt to commit to two extra keystrokes.

We decided that it was cruel, after all, to make foreigners go to extra trouble, especially seeing as how we'll be foreigners soon, too. If you're interested in Croatian (or Marijana... or both), kindly walk your mouse to the upper right corner of the page and click on the tastefully obscured Croatian flag. Repeating the procedure will bring you right back to the English side of things.
