I didn't attend the most recent Spanish Society meetup, but I've got a great excuse: We were packing!
Our living room -- already typically cluttered and messy -- is now a jungle of boxes and appliances and furniture and trash. The amount of sentimental crap we've managed to accumulate over the short period we've been together is only rivaled by the amount of utterly meaningless crap we have stacked all over the place.
It really is astounding.
I'm fairly certain that if two people dedicated all of their free time to buying and storing junk, they still wouldn't be able to rival us for sheer volume of unforgivably useless and unnecessary stuff... and we actually pride ourselves on our relative lack of materialism!
To make things easier (and to lessen the burden of the move), I finally got around to posting all of our bulky stuff on CraigsList. We're already seeing lots of movement, but the bulkiest items (desks, chairs, televisions) still need to go.
Come on, Seattle. Buy, BUY, BUY!!
